Diea is a very charming and cozy village famous for olive and orange orchards, exquisite nature and Robert Graves. The village is small, but has enough facilities for the accommodation and entertainment of the visitors. It has managed to retain its tranquil atmosphere in spite of its popularity as a tourist destination.
Surrounded by lovely green mountainous terrain, the village is sits on the top of a hill in the ‘Sierra de Tramuntana’ mountain range. Rising above the valley is the “Teix”, at 1062 M. (3484 ft.) the second highest mountain in Mallorca. There is a network of paths and ancient mule tracks in the area which make it an ideal place for a walking holiday. Walking holidays are very popular here because of the delightfully soothing nature.

The annual chambers music festival- “Festival Internacional de Deia” is also held here.
Robert Graves settled in Ca n'Alluny in Diea after World War II, and he lived here until his death. A recent addition to the attractions in Deia is the Robert Graves Museum. ‘The Fundacio Robert Graves’ has adapted his house to accommodate visitors. The original character of the house has been preserved and it remains mostly unchanged from the time the author lived here. The tour of the house has an authentic feel to it as the personal belongings, furniture; fittings are kept in their original condition. The Museum also displays original documents, pictures, letters and personal documentation, and offers the screening of a 14 minute documentary about the life of the writer.
